If you’re feel like you’re burnt-out, or you’re not sure why you’re tired, moody and run-down all the time, the first step would be to visit a Kinesiologist. They will be able to read your body’s needs with powerful accuracy using muscle testing (among other tools) to establish:
(a) whether or not you are suffering from burnout
(b) the degree of burn-out you’re dealing with
(c) the root cause, and
(d) what your body needs to recover
Kinesiology embraces the fact that each body is unique, and treatment is therefore tailored to suit YOUR needs, not some abstract ideal or standard of health & wellness.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kinesiology, it is not meant to replace your visits to the GP or exclude the fact that sometimes, traditional medicines and practices are necessary. Rather, it is a more holistic practice of tapping into your body’s cellular memory or intuition, allowing the body to diagnose and – in some cases – begin to heal itself.
Some kinesiologists use the Balance Through Releasing method of testing the body, combined with Touch for Health. This involves using muscle-testing to help establish any problem areas, deficiencies or imbalances in the body, and then rectifying the flow of energy accordingly. Once your body has been ‘balanced’ by a kinesiologist, your body is better aligned to prioritise healing.
Burnout is caused when the adrenal glands have been over-worked, and the body has been forced to produce too much cortisol. This causes the glands to stop functioning correctly, causing a variety of hormonal imbalances in the body, which over time can manifest as other issues (both physical and emotional).

Kinesiology (specifically, Balance Through Releasing & Touch for Health) will help establish what your own body needs to recover from burnout. If your body is lacking certain nutrients, vitamins or minerals, or there is an unresolved emotional issue causing stress in your life, this will become evident during the session. Kinesiology has been coined ‘therapy for sissies’: you can address and even resolve many issues without spending hours of time on a couch, pouring your heart out.
For many, Kinesiology is the starting point. No one person’s journey to recovery is the same; but Kinesiology is the compass that will set you on the right path.
